Sierra Tuscon
|
|
|
The Sierra Tucson campus, set on 160 acres in the shadow of the Santa
Catalina Mountains north of Tucson, Arizona, mingles comfortably with
the surrounding high desert and mountains, drawing on their beauty,
peacefulness, and ability to inspire. It is in a setting such as this
that one can face realities with hope rather than despair. The superb
physical complex of classrooms and meeting, eating, exercising, and
living spaces blends unobtrusively with the natural southwestern
terrain. The patient community reinforces physically the safe,
inspirational haven that Sierra Tucson's programs and clinical teams
provide psychologically. A self-contained environment, Sierra Tucson has
139 patient beds, medical and recreational resources, a fitness center,
labyrinth, Kiva, and walking trails for mind and body awareness. As
patients engage in the comprehensive treatment process, they can settle
into rustic and elegant lodges with comfortable semi-private rooms (two
people per room) and amenities. The lodges feature a spacious lounge
area with cozy fireplace, high vega-beamed ceilings, outdoor balconies
and patios, and large picture windows revealing magnificent views of the
9,000' Santa Catalina Mountain range. The panoramic mountains, lush
desert landscape, fountains, and many species of wildlife all combine to
create a spacious and serene setting that invites the body, soul, and
spirit to connect and embrace reality.
"When I first saw the isolation of this strangely beautiful
place—so
far removed from the scene of my day-to-day dysfunctional life—I
felt an immediate stirring of feelings, of serenity. . . and hope.
I would be safe here, protected by the eternity of the mountains,
the silence, the desert."
-Nancy, a former patient

12 Steps For Everybody
|
|
Are You Ready for the 12
Steps for Everybody? Do you have a problem or situation in your life
that is so compelling and overwhelming that you are ready to do
anything to get rid of it? Is some aspect of your life or personality
so painful that you will go to any lengths to change? If only
circumstances were different, would you be a happier
person?
If the answer to any of these questions is “Yes,” then you
are ready for The 12 Steps for Everybody’s unique approach to working the 12
Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous on any addiction, obsessive-compulsive behavior,
habitual problem, illness, or difficulty in your life today.
Some of
us belong to already established 12-Step programs such as A.A., Al-Anon, CoDA,
D.A., G.A., O.A., or S.L.A.A., but we find that TSE’s groundbreaking method of
working the 12 Steps is freeing us in ways we never imagined
possible.
Still others do not belong to any 12-Step program or
self-help support group, but we are working this astoundingly successful new way
of applying the 12 Steps on unfortunate personal traits and situations that used
to baffle us.
If you find yourself interested in learning more, then
look over this 5-page website to see how you, too, can become
involved.
